What is Grab?
As the largest ride-hailing app in Southeast Asia, you can travel safer and at a more reasonable price than taxis. You can go at the price displayed on the app without worrying about being ripped off.
Basic usage
- After downloading the app, sign up with a Korean number (recommended to install before leaving the country)
- Enter destination → Select vehicle type → Check estimated fare → Call
- Cash or card payment possible
Vehicle type
- GrabCar - General passenger car (most used)
- GrabBike - Motorcycle taxi (short distance fast travel)
- GrabTaxi - Call a regular taxi with the app
Tips
- During rush hour and when it rains, fares may rise 2-3 times
- Capturing the Thai address makes it easier to communicate with the driver
- When paying in cash, prepare change in advance
- Food delivery is also possible with GrabFood!
