Visa and entry
Passport holders from most countries can enter Thailand visa-free and can stay for up to 30 to 90 days for tourism purposes. Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining upon entry.
Currency and exchange
Thailand's currency is Baht (THB). It is best to exchange your money at a local currency exchange office, and exchange offices in Bangkok's Sukhumvit and Silom areas are popular. Credit cards are accepted at most tourist attractions.

Climate
Thailand has a tropical climate, with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius all year round. November to February is the dry season and is the best time to travel, while June to October is the rainy season. Sunscreen and a hat are essential as UV rays are strong.

It is most convenient to purchase a SIM card after arriving at the airport. Telecom companies such as AIS, DTAC, and TrueMove offer data plans for tourists at reasonable prices.
